Over the last 10 years, I have photographed at probably over 100 wedding venues; and while I haven’t experienced them all, I’ve seen A LOT. My couples have taken me all over Maryland, the state known for its blue crabs & Old Bay. But, what I bet you didn’t know is that they have GORGEOUS wedding venues. As a wedding photographer, a great venue is everything. Let me tell you, Maryland wedding venues are more beautiful than my lens can capture. So, if you’re recently engaged or dreaming about where to host your fairytale wedding, here are 5 of my favorite wedding venues in Maryland (in no particular order) to consider!
My Top 5 Maryland Wedding Venues
Blue Moon Rising on Deep Creek Lake | McHenry, Maryland
This is the perfect location for a magical woodland wedding. The property features tiny cabins and a whimsical ceremony site among towering pine trees. Check out the Bell & Campbellweddings for inspiration.

Antrim 1844 | Taneytown, Maryland
This central Maryland wedding venue brings together history and elegance. The property features an English Tea Rose Garden for ceremonies, an ornate mansion for cocktail hour & a pavilion to get your dance on. I shot the Miller's Fall wedding here. The golden hour views were amazing!

The Cloisters Castle | Pikesville, Maryland
If I could dream up a perfect wedding venue, gives me European castle vibes, and just overall feels magical - The Cloisters Castle is it. This indoor & outdoor wedding venue was built in 1920s & was perfect for the Brisbanecouple. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind authentic Gothic manor house, this location offers so much - from the spiral staircase, mounted knights, windmill, and cloisters walkway.

Glen Ellen Farm Wedding Venue | Frederick, Maryland
This outdoor wedding venue specializes in garden & farm-style weddings. The Geiser’s wedding featured a cocktail hour held in the ruins of an old barn and their wildflower gardens were the perfect backdrop.

StoneBridge Events | Cumberland, Maryland
I’ve shot here a million times because it’s only 20 minutes from my home! This 32-acre country estate features a manor, a beautiful pond, and a tent that can hold up to 300. The Clarks chose this dreamy location.
