Enchanting Cherry Blossom Wedding in Northern Virginia

Spring is a magical time for weddings, especially when the beautiful Japanese cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing Anna and Mike‘s truly enchanting wedding at The Atrium at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. I was also here for the Kiemel wedding during in the fall of 2019. The couple chose to have their ceremony outside, surrounded by the vibrant bursts of pink and white cherry blossoms. We then ventured into the greenhouse for family and group photos.
The reception took place in a lovely indoor space, which had a stream flowing through it. This unique feature added a touch of serenity and tranquility to the festivities. The soft sounds of the water gently cascading created a soothing ambiance that set the tone for the evening.
What made this wedding even more extraordinary was discovering that both the bride and groom were retired award-winning Paralympic swimmers. Their resilience and determination shone through their smiles as they celebrated this new chapter of their lives together.
If you’re planning a spring wedding and want to incorporate the beauty of nature, or just looking for a really nice place for an afternoon walk just outisde of DC, consider the Atrium at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens.
