Kayla & Andrew’s Summer, Ohio wedding in Athens was perfect. These Ohio University alums have quite a lot in common, so no wonder they ended up together! Originally from West Virginia, both attended Ohio University & now currently live and teach in Montana. Their love story began in the chapel next to where they were married & it was important to include their old haunts on their special day.
The day began at First Presbyterian Church of Athens where they said their nuptials, followed by a reception at the Dairy Barn Arts Center. You know I love buildings with character & this one did not disappoint. Who knew Ohio was so charming?! I snuck the bride and groom away for photos at their Alma Mater and upon our return, Andrew’s father wowed us all with Louis Armstrong’s song, What A Wonderful World. Cue all the tears. These two are so loved!
They even kept the party going with a bar crawl across Athens with family and friends! While we didn’t take part in this, my second shooter, Sandi, and I explored the town, visited local shops & ate at a cute diner. I would definitely recommend visiting & I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to shoot Kayla & Andrew’s Ohio wedding!
