You already know I love wedding venues in Maryland, so, I was so excited to be a part of Jamie & John’s magical Stone Ridge Hollow barn wedding.
Our relationship started in Lancaster, PA where I met them for their engagement session. I knew from the these two were special. Particularly when Jamie sent me her vision of a beautiful wildflower field. My fairytale-loving self was over the moon and I immediately said yes. A few hours before their session, I was devastated to find out the field was completely dead. After chatting with my local Airbnb host, she suggested another field and also offered to take photos in her backyard. It pays to make friends!
Jamie & John were so flexible and I knew their big day would be perfect. Spoiler alert, it was. The day began with the girls and guys getting ready in the main house on the property. Jamie looked incredible and I used their giant mirror to our advantage to capture some extra special shots. Wow, these two have incredible friends that surrounded them with love and fun. The original plan included an outdoor ceremony, but the rain changed plans. However, if you had to have an indoor ceremony, this was the place to have it. Stone Ridge Hollow’s renovated barn was gorgeous. After Jamie and John tied the knot, we made it outside for family photos under a whimsical greenery arch and overlooking the ponds. We got to go outside after all! Also, gloomy days make for beautiful photos.
The day concluded with a beautiful reception with family and friends from all over & some wedding traditions like cake cutting and a bouquet toss!
